Ensure that you are entering the password for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory created in the Lorex Home app, and not the Lorex Home app account password. Those are two separate passwords.
Ensure that your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory is connected to a dual-band router (2.4 GHz/5 GHz bands).
Ensure that you are connecting the Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory to an available Fusion Wi-Fi channel, and not a Wi-Fi channel that already has a Wi-Fi device connected to it.

While connected to a power source, press and hold the reset button on the device until you hear the reset chime.
Open the Lorex Home app.

It is recommended to update your system firmware to the latest version to ensure remote connectivity and to support newly added Fusion Wi-Fi devices.

New Local UI: Login to your recorder and navigate to System > Update & Reset > Upgrade, then click Check for Updates.

Does my Fusion recorder require a network setup?

What is continuous recording?

Once your Lorex Fusion Wi-Fi camera connects to your Fusion recorder, your camera’s recording settings are automatically set to continuous. This means that your Fusion Wi-Fi camera will record 24/7 or for the entire duration of the recording schedule onto your Fusion recorder’s hard drive. It is worth noting that recordings on the camera are limited due to the size of its onboard storage, while recordings on the recorder are extensive (3TB to 10TB). Continuous recording captures everything in the background, and you can playback to catch anything you missed.

How do I set my Fusion Wi-Fi camera to continuous recording?

From the Live View display, right-click to open the Quick Menu, then click Camera Registration.

Enter your Wi-Fi device’s password and click Connect.

Turn off duplicate notifications

To turn off duplicate notifications:

Open the Lorex Home app.

Under your Fusion recorder, swipe left to find your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory.
Tap on your Fusion Wi-Fi device’s notification icon .

Tap on Turn off Alerts, and then Save.

Adjust the recording settings for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory

After Fusion setup, your Lorex Fusion Wi-Fi camera’s recording settings will automatically adjust to Continuous, recording 24/7 directly to your recorder’s hard disk drive.

To adjust the recording settings (new local UI):

From the Live View display, right-click to open the Quick Menu, then click Main Menu.
Click Devices, then Record Settings. Click the Record Settings tab from the side panel.

Under Channel, select your Wi-Fi device.
Under Type, select the recording type.
- Continuous: The video will record automatically according to the time on the schedule.
- MD (Motion Detection): The video will record when motion is detected.
Click Apply.

To adjust the recording settings using the previous local UI, navigate to Main Menu > CAMERA > Recording > Recording and follow the same steps as above.

Set the recording schedule for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory

You can set a custom recording schedule according to your needs. For example, you can set the system to record continuously during business hours and record on motion detection only outside of business hours.

From the Live View display, right-click to open the Quick Menu, then click Main Menu.
Click System, then Storage. Click the Schedule tab from the side panel.

Under Channel, select your Wi-Fi device.
Check the recording type you would like to adjust, or check All.
Adjust the recording schedule as needed:
- Click-and-drag on each day to customize the recording schedule. The schedule is set up as a grid, with each block representing two hours.
- Click beside 2 or more days to link schedules (). This allows you to quickly change multiple schedules at once.
- To make fine adjustments to a schedule, click . This will allow you to set exact start and end times for a schedule.
- To disable all recording of the selected type on the selected day, click .
Click Apply.

To set the recording schedule using the previous local UI, navigate to Main Menu > STORAGE > Schedule and follow the same steps as above.

Link sensors to cameras

Once you’ve completed the Fusion setup, you can link motion and door/window sensors to any compatible camera, so that when the sensors are triggered the linked automatically cameras record.

Open the Lorex Home app.

Tap on the Sensor Hub’s connected sensors list (•••) icon.

Tap on the sensor that you want to link.

Tap on Link Camera.

Tap on the camera that you want to link.
Tap Save.

How do I remove a device from my Arlo account? – Arlo Secure 4.0

WARNING: Removing a device from your account erases all modes and settings on that device and resets the device to factory default settings. If you remove a device from your account and later add it back, you must complete the setup process just like you did when you set up your system for the first time.

To remove a device from your Arlo account:

Launch the Arlo Secure app or log in to my.arlo.com.
Tap or click Devices.
Select your Arlo device.
Tap or click .
Tap or click the Arlo device name at the top of the Device Settings screen.
Tap or click Remove Device.
Note: If you remove an Arlo SmartHub or Base Station from your account, all the cameras synced to that Arlo SmartHub or Base Station are deleted from your account at the same time.

To remove all devices from your Arlo account and erase your recordings:

Launch the Arlo Secure app or log in to my.arlo.com.
Tap in the Arlo Secure App or click Settings on my.arlo.com.
Tap or click Privacy Center to open the Arlo Privacy Center.

Friends are additional users on your Arlo account. Friends are granted limited access to your Arlo account. You can select which Arlo devices your friends can see. You can also give your friends access rights for additional privileges.

To add a friend to your Arlo account:

Launch the Arlo Secure App or log in to my.arlo.com.
Tap in the Arlo Secure App or click Settings on my.arlo.com.
Tap or click People.
Tap or click to add a person.
Enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email address of the person that you would like to add.
Select the devices that you want your friend to be able to access.
Tap or click the Allow Access Rights switch to grant the user additional privileges.

Tap or click Send Invite.
An email message is sent inviting your friend to create an Arlo account. Your friend’s name is displayed under People with a Pending status until they accept the invitation.

Click Create Account in the body of the email to launch the my.arlo.com website.

The Arlo Keypad Sensor Hub is part of the Arlo Home Security System. The Keypad Sensor Hub lets you arm and disarm the Home Security System, turn the siren on and off, and contact a 24/7 Live Security Expert *. The Keypad Sensor Hub also includes a motion sensor, a siren, and a microphone that listens for smoke/CO2 detection alarms.

Please keep in mind when installing and configuring the Arlo Keypad Sensor Hub:

Your Keypad Sensor Hub is for indoor use only.
Your Keypad Sensor Hub should be in an accessible location and must be placed on a flat surface or table.
Place the Keypad Sensor Hub with the sensor facing towards where motion is expected.
Place the Keypad Sensor Hub near an electrical outlet that is not controlled by a wall switch.
If you have an Arlo Cellular and Battery Backup, install it after completing the installation of the Keypad Sensor Hub.

To setup and install your Arlo Keypad Sensor Hub:

Confirm the Location where you want your device to be installed.

To reduce unwanted Arlo notifications:

Position your camera so that it does not detect unwanted motion.

Create Activity Zones for your camera to focus on.

Reduce the Audio Detection Sensitivity for your camera.

Edit the Notification settings for your Modes.
If you like the amount of videos that Arlo is recording, but you want to receive fewer notifications, edit the notification settings in your Modes for when you want recordings without notifications. How do I connect my mobile device to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to set up my Arlo camera?

If you are connecting an Arlo camera directly to a Wi-Fi router (without an Arlo SmartHub or Base Station), you must connect your mobile device to your router’s 2.4 GHz band during the setup process. Many routers broadcast Wi-Fi networks in both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Your Arlo device directly connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. This means that you must first connect your mobile device to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, then connect your Arlo device to that same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network during the setup process in the Arlo Secure App.

Arlo Pro 5S can operate on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, but only after installation has been completed on the 2.4 GHz band. If the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands have the same SSID and password, the camera will connect to both networks during installation. Arlo Video Doorbells, Pro 3, Pro 4, Pro 5S, Floodlight Camera, Q, Q+, Baby, Essential Camera, Essential Spotlight, and Essential Indoor can connect directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

Find your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network

When connecting your mobile device and Arlo device to a Wi-Fi network, ensure that you select the SSID that indicates it is a 2.4 GHz network. This is typically indicated by a 2, 2.4, or 2G at the end of the SSID.

If you have both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks:

Your 2.4 GHz network name or SSID might have a 2, 2.4, or 2G at the end.
Your 5 GHz network name or SSID might have a 5 or 5G at the end.

Some Wi-Fi routers have only one Wi-Fi network name that is used for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands. If you’re having trouble connecting and your Wi-Fi network name doesn’t indicate whether it’s 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, read the Troubleshooting section in this article.

Connect to your 2.4 GHz network

To connect your iOS (Apple) device to a 2.4 GHz network:

Open the Settings app for your iOS device.
Tap Wi-Fi.
Tap the Wi-Fi switch to the on position.
Note: Wi-Fi is enabled when the Wi-Fi button is green.
Select a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

When you are connected to the Wi-Fi network, a blue checkmark appears to the left of the network name.

To connect your Android device to a 2.4 GHz network:

Troubleshooting

If your Wi-Fi network name or SSID doesn’t indicate whether it’s 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz:

Try opening your router settings, and look for a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that your mobile device can connect to. If you need help with this, contact your router manufacturer.
Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and ask for help connecting your mobile device to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

If your router uses the same Wi-Fi network name or SSID for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands:

Routers can use the same network name or SSID to broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your mobile device is connected to a mesh network, your Arlo device will not be able to connect to the 5 GHz band, so it will automatically connect to the 2.4 GHz band.
- For networks that have the same SSID for 2.4/5 GHz: Try temporarily disabling 5 GHz in the router settings.
- For Mesh systems: If you are having difficulty connecting, try temporarily turning off the access points, and connect the camera to the main router first. Once installation is complete, power on the access points again.

If your Arlo device still isn’t found during setup:

Ensure that you entered the correct SSID and password in the Arlo Secure App during the setup process.
Note: The SSID is case sensitive. Ensure that it is EXACTLY correct when you enter it in the Arlo Secure App.
Ensure that your mobile device is NOT connected to a VPN.
Ensure that auto join settings are turned off on your mobile device.
Ensure that Wi-Fi Assist and Adaptive Wi-Fi features are turned off on your mobile device.
Wi-Fi Assist and Adaptive Wi-Fi features use cellular data when your Wi-Fi connection is poor. This can interfere with the Arlo device setup process.

How to reset Foscam cameras?

Overview: This article will introduce the process of resetting a Foscam camera. At times, a user may encounter a situation when the password is forgotten for a specific camera or need to reset the settings and start from the beginning. This procedure restores the camera to the settings that were set at the factory.

To reset a camera, locate the reset button and press it for approximately 30 seconds. At the end of that time the camera will reboot itself and the factory settings will be restored. Some models require only a 10-15 second timeframe. If the camera announces “Reset succeeded” before the 30 second timeframe passes, please release the reset button.

After the reset the username will be “admin” and no password(leave the password field blank). After the first login to the camera you will be prompted to enter a new username and password.

Reset button location:

1.On Indoor PT cameras the Reset button is located either on the bottom of the camera in a little hole or is on the side of the body. Use the end of a paperclip to press the button.

2.On Indoor Cube cameras the Reset button is located on the back of the unit.

3.On Indoor Dome cameras the Reset button is located on the tail cable coming out of the back of the camera.

4.On Outdoor Bullet style cameras the Reset button is located on the tail cable coming out of the back of the camera.

5.On Outdoor PT cameras the Reset button is located on the tail cable coming out of the back of the camera.

6.On the Fosbaby series of the cameras the Reset button is located on the body of the camera.

Technical Note: If after pressing the reset button for 30 seconds the camera does not successfully reset, please attempt to power cycle the unit off and on again. Though wire-free smart doorbells dominate the market, smart doorbell that has an Ethernet port gives you additional benefits, such as reliable network connection, maintenance-free, long-range wiring distance (up to 100 meters) and high reliability.

PoE Injectors 802.3af

Smart doorbells are low power consumption devices which their maximum power rate is below 10watt, because of this reason, users can take advantage of PoE technology to have a cost-effective and maintenance-free video doorbell system. PoE stands for Power over Ethernet, as the prevalent technology in IT field (PoE for access points, IP telephone, network switches), 802.3af standard has been universally accepted and adopted by different manufacturers.

PoE 802.3af standard stipulates the power voltage, power rate, hand shaking protocol…etc specification. When you choose the PoE injector for your smart doorbells, ensuring you know whether the product complies 802.3af standard, or it’s non-standard.

Users can choose any PoE injector that complies 802.3af standard. The PoE injectors support 48V, 500mA specification. The PoE injector has two Ethernet port; one LAN port to connect with your router/switch, another PoE port connects to your smart doorbell.

Updating your Wyze Cam firmware version When your Wyze Cam has a firmware update, you’ll be prompted to update in the Wyze app. But you can also check and update your firmware manually.

To check your firmware version, and update:

In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Cam.
Tap on the Settings gear, then Device Info > Firmware Version.

You can also check your firmware version from the Home tab by tapping Account > Firmware Update.

Firmware Instructions

What you’ll need:

Wyze’s webcam firmware
- Wyze Cam v2 firmware
- Wyze Cam Pan firmware
A 32 GB microSD card (recommended)
- Wyze 32GB MicroSDHC
Wyze Cam v2 or Wyze Cam Pan
- Wyze Cam v2
A USB A to A cable*
- Amazon USB 3.0 A to A cable

*If you have a USB C to A cable, it may work. Follow the instructions below; if you have issues, switch to a USB A to A cable.

Before you start:

Wyze Cam v2 (and Pan) were not designed to be used as a webcam. This firmware is for folks who need a webcam but can’t buy one.
This solution should be used “as is.” We are not planning on continuous improvements or bug fixes.
Once the Wyze Cam is flashed to webcam firmware, it will not be able to connect to the Wyze app, unless you manually flash it back to stock firmware.
This may or may not be compatible with your computer operating system. We have tested and confirmed that it works on Mac OS 10.13, Windows 7 and 10.
This solution has been tested and works with Zoom, GoToMeeting, Blue Jeans, Google Hangouts, Skype, and Cisco.

What we know:

The webcam video, speaker, and mic all function properly.
Mic audio may be low. We suggest you set your audio level to medium, or use your own microphone and speaker.

How to flash your Wyze Cam to a webcam:

Insert the microSD card into your computer.
Download the webcam’s special firmware here.
- Windows 10: Right-click on the file “V2Webcam.zip” or “PanWebcam.zip” and select Extract all to your desktop. Drag and drop the “demo.bin” file on the root directory of your microSD card.
- Mac OS: Click on the file “V2Webcam.zip” or “PanWebcam.zip”. Drag and drop the “demo.bin” file on the root directory of your microSD card.
Eject and remove the microSD card from your computer.
Unplug the Wyze Cam from the power source (ex. the end attached to the wall socket).
Insert your microSD card into the bottom of the camera.
Press and hold the Setup button, then plug your Wyze Cam back into the power source.
Continue holding the setup button for 3-6 seconds until the light is solid blue, then release the button.
- Note: The “Solid Blue” in this case is not the same as the one normally seen on the camera. Instead, both the blue and yellow LEDs will be on at once, appearing as a lighter blue.
Wait 3-4 minutes.
- The camera will reboot, and the light status will change during this time.
Once complete, the status light will flash yellow and blue at the same time (not alternating).

Wyze Cam will continue to flash yellow and blue at the same time if the webcam firmware is installed properly and the camera is turned on.

To use your new webcam:

Connect the USB A to A cable to the Wyze Cam USB port and the computer USB port.
In your video conference tool (ex. Zoom), change the camera source to “HD USB Camera.”
- We recommend you use a different source for the speaker and microphone functions.

How to connect Arlo device to Apple HomeKit?

With Apple HomeKit and a compatible Arlo device, you can use voice commands to access and control multiple Arlo devices from one place. To take full advantage of these features, you need a supported and connected Arlo system. For more information, visit What are the benefits of connecting my Arlo device to Apple HomeKit?.

You can also connect an Arlo Baby camera with the Apple Home app. For more information, visit How do I set up a new Arlo Baby camera with HomeKit?.

What you need

You must be on the same WiFi network as your Arlo SmartHub or Base Station when you first connect Arlo to HomeKit. After your Arlo device is added to HomeKit, you must have an Apple home hub to access your Arlo devices on HomeKit when outside your local network. You need the following to use Arlo with Apple HomeKit:

Note: To use HomeKit, your Arlo device must be connected to an Arlo SmartHub or Base Station. You can’t use HomeKit with your Arlo device if the device is connected directly to a WiFi router.

Connect Arlo to the Apple Home App

You can connect your Arlo device to the Apple Home app in two ways:

With a HomeKit setup code on the Base Station or device.
Without a HomeKit setup code.

To set up an Arlo device with a setup code:

Set up your Arlo device and Base Station with the Arlo app.
Launch the Apple Home app.
Tap + > Add Accessory.
Scan the HomeKit setup code on your Base Station, device, or quick start guide.
Follow the setup flow to name devices and place them in HomeKit rooms.
Your devices are ready to use with HomeKit.

To setup an Arlo device without a setup code:

Launch the Arlo app on your Apple device.
Tap Settings > My Devices.
Select an Arlo Base Station.
Tap HomeKit.
Select the Base Station you want to add to HomeKit.
Select a Home or tap Add New Home.
If you don’t have a Home set up in the Arlo app, you are directed to create a Home.
Select a Room or tap Add a New Room.
If you don’t have a Room set up in the Arlo app, you are directed to create a Room.
Tap Continue to add devices to HomeKit to add devices or additional Base Stations.
Continue through the setup flows to confirm the name and room placement for each device.
Note: The name that you give each device is used for Siri commands. Choose a unique name that is easy to remember and pronounce.
Confirm the name of the device.
Tap Skip, or rename any other devices as needed.
Tap Finish.
Your devices are ready to use with HomeKit.

How do I set up a new Arlo Baby camera with HomeKit?

These instructions apply to new cameras that are not connected to an Arlo account. If you are already using your Arlo Baby camera, see How do I connect my Arlo Baby camera to the Apple Home app on my iOS device?.

To set up your Arlo Baby camera using an iOS device and Apple HomeKit:

If you are new to Arlo, download the Arlo app from the Apple App Store by searching for “Arlo”.
Launch the Arlo app and tap New to Arlo if you are a new customer or log in and tap Add Device if you already have an Arlo account.
Tap Arlo Baby and acknowledge the warning message.
Wait up to two minutes for Arlo to discover your Arlo Baby camera.
If Arlo can’t discover your camera, follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure that the LED on the camera is blinking amber.
  If the light is not blinking amber, the camera might be set up already. To connect an existing Arlo Baby camera with the Apple Home app, see How do I connect my Arlo Baby camera to the Apple Home app on my iOS device?.
- Try the QR code method by tapping Set Up with QR Code at the bottom of the screen and following the on-screen instructions.
After Arlo discovers your camera, tap Next.
Select your WiFi network from the list and tap Next.
Select your time zone and tap Continue.
Give your camera a name.
If you would like to use the camera with Apple’s “Hey Siri” voice control feature, make sure that the camera’s name is easy to pronounce and does not sound like the names of any other devices that you added to the Home app.
Tap Continue.
Tap Yes, Add It Now to add the camera to HomeKit.
Select an existing Home from the list or create a new one by tapping Add Home.
Tap Next.
Locate the HomeKit code for your camera on the back of your Arlo Baby’s Quick Start Guide or on the base of Arlo Baby.

Scan the HomeKit code on the back of the Quick Start Guide or type the HomeKit code from the camera label.
Assign the camera to a room within the Home app, or create a new room to place it in.
Tap Done.
Your camera is now registered with Arlo and added to your Home app.
